- and Ramblin' Jack Elliot.
- Arlo Guthrie was born in Brooklyn. Young Bob Dylan traveled to Coney Island to see Arlo's father, the ailing Woody Guthrie.
Did you know that Brooklyn produced

Other Brooklynites:
- Larry Taylor (Canned Heat)
- Chris Stein (Blondie)
- Robert Lamm (Chicago)
- Steve Katz (Blues Project, Blood, Sweat and Tears)
- Barry Melton (Country Joe and The Fish)
- Naomi Ruth Eisenberg (Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks)
- Garland Jeffreys
- Richie Havens
- Eric Kaz (songwriter and, at one time, a member of The Blues Magoos)
- Stan Bronstein (Elephant's Memory)
- Harry Nillson
- Eddie Money
- and Peter Criss (of Kiss).
Later, Brooklyn became "the city of discos" where John Travolta danced up a storm in "Saturday Night Fever." The film was shot at the club, 2001 Odyssey, in Bay Ridge.
