Barnaby Bye & The Alessi Brothers

Perhaps the tail-end of this musical period (late 60's-early 70's) is best exemplified by Barnaby Bye with identical twins, Billy and Bobby Alessi, former Blues Magoos guitarist, Peppi Castro and ex-Illusion drummer, Mike Ricciardella. Their smooth vocals and good looks helped sell two albums on Atlantic Records ("Room To Grow", Atlantic 7273, 1977 and "Touch" Atlantic 18104, 1980; both produced by Ahmet Ertegun).

As members of The Country Gentlemen (with Frank Carillo) (Brent,1970), then The Look (Verve, 1971) and Pendulum (Kama Sutra, 1972), The Alessi Brothers became familiar figures islandwide. After Barnaby Bye, they continued their success in Alessi (with four sweet albums on A&M in the late '70s). Their voices are still heard daily as leading performers of commercial jingles.
