A History of Rock and Roll on Long Island

Jimi LaLumia and The Psychotic Frogs

We received this on July 5, 1998:

Disco STILL Sucks-Psychotic Frogs Rule-OK

"I'm finally on the net, and it was great to see Jimi La Lumia & the Psychotic Frogs listed, however, the album listing, "Death To Disco-The Album" was never released. What was released was an e.p. after the "Death To Disco" single. The EP, "Typically Tasteless" featured "Mangle Me", "You'll Never Walk Again"(both originals), a triple xxx version of the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" and "I Got Fxxked By The Devil Last Night" a cover version of a Jayne (the artiste formerly known as Wayne) County.

We did release a "Live At Max's Kansas City, 1981" tape in the mid 80s, and that was picked by by the legendary ESP DISK label in l993, remastered for cd, and issued world wide. From that collection was released the most collectable Psychotic Frogs piece, a limited edition (now out of print) gold vinyl 45 of "Twist And Shout" backed with "Boys". Both sides feature Max's social circle of l980, Johnny (NY Dolls, Heartbreakers) Thunders, Jayne (the artiste formerly known as Wayne) County, Cherry (David Bowie, Mainman/Warhol superstar) Vanilla and Donna (Blondie backup vocalist) Destri.

I'm releasing an anniversary "Death To Disco-Disco STILL Sucks" single this year, and I'm featured in the forthcoming Leck Kowalski film,"The Last Rock & Roll Movie" about the rise and fall of the NY Dolls; I'm also featured in the forthcoming Max's Kansas City hardcover history, "High On Rebellion" by Yvonne Ruskin, due in Oct,'98, and I own the Record Connection on Hawkins Ave. in Ronkonkoma. You can reach me at (516) 467-8250 or email toloudmuze@aol.com.

Sincerely,
Jimi La Lumia
