
The Reasons Why (with Steve Beckmeyer, Buzzy Feiten, Danny Horton and Al Stegmeyer) were a strong presence on the Island. Beckmeyer was later with the west coast group, Pacific, Gas And Electric. On the release from Hall And Oates, "Change Of Season" (Arista 8614, 1990), Buzzy Feiten, Doug Stegmeyer, Joe Franco and Dean Kraus sit in on a track recorded in Glen Cove. The late Doug Stegmeyer, whose first band was The Lonely Souls, said the group was one of the best. "They were better than The Hassles.
