Bob Gruen

Great Neck-born Bob Gruen is one of the most well-known and respected photographers in rock and roll, with many of his images both iconic and instantly recognizable. His career of photographing rock stars began with Bob Dylan, and he was John Lennon’s personal photographer during his time in New York City. Gruen’s roster of photographs includes a veritable Who’s Who of Legendary Musicians—among them, Eric Clapton, Jerry Garcia, Led Zeppelin, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono, Joe Strummer, The Who, KISS, Patti Smith, The Rolling Stones, and Green Day. His work has been exhibited in major museums from London, England to São Paolo, Brazil.
