The Long Island Music Hall of Fame
Is a 501(c)(3) membership organization
Is dedicated to the idea that Long Island's musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations.
Defines Long Island as Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties
Inspires in each person the desire to explore and celebrate music in all its forms - rock, classical, blues, hip-hop, jazz, folk and many other genres
Is a place where the music community will find the support, resources and leadership necessary to aid them in that exploration.
Was created by a group of intensely dedicated Long Island music lovers from the publishing, education, music retailing, promotion and public relations industries.
The Long Island Music Hall of Fame Awards
An annual Hall of Fame Induction Gala honoring native Long Island musicians, as well as those who have lived a significant part of their life on Long Island
