Joe Guida
The Singing School Bus Driver

Joe Guida has become one of Long Island's top children performers at schools and libraries throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. His upbeat shows will have the children participating with singing, clapping and dancing from the very first song right through his last rocking song "Dance With Me To My Music" .

Chris Peters -
Music Meets Science

Chris Peters has been working with electronic music and electronic musical instruments for over 25 years. He has a BS in Communication Arts from St. John's University, and a recent MS in Early Childhood Education from Dowling College . After a brief internship at the New England Conservatory as a recording engineer, Mr. Peters worked in the defense industry and as a computer consultant in private industry.

Mr. Peters has been an active member of the Long Island Music scene for many years performing his original music at coffee houses and bookstores, as well as being a former band member of "The Slant" and "Argon & the Flying Saucers". He also worked with Rich Hughes as audio engineer for the public access cable show LIMC-TV and is a regular presenter of educational programs at the Long Island Children's Museum.

Mr. Peters' approach to music often includes science and mathematics disciplines. His "Music Meets Science" shows use unusual musical instrumentation to explain and explore science concepts with synthesizers, computers and acoustic instruments. Mr. Peters is currently working as a duo with the versatile and talented drummer Vicky Liotta performing original music on theremin, and keyboards.

Paul Helou

With a masters in literature and a background as an award-winning freelance writer for The New York Times, Paul is a musician, songwriter, theatrical improviser and actor who has performed in venues across the country, including various camps, schools, libraries, hospitals, concert halls, coffee houses, and special events. He has recently won the 2006 Children's Music Web Awards (an international award guided by adults and judged by children) for the Best New Artist for Preschoolers.

He is equally adept at performing for both children and adults. His shows for children are high-energy, interactive events with quality original songs. His bluegrass/folk shows for adults reflect the same energy with a high level of musicianship and a confident showmanship that engages and uplifts the audience.

Marla Lewis

Marla Lewis began singing as soon as she learned to talk, and writing songs since she was 12! Marla has performed her original programs in schools, libraries, and parks in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as in Long Island and Westchester County for the past 20 years.

Since 1989, Marla has been teaching music and English as a Second Language in the New York City school system. She finds that "hands-on music" is a powerful motivator for children, and makes language learning a breeze!

In addition to writing several musicals and books for children, Marla has just released a new CD, "We All Laugh in the Same Language!"

A performer with diversified talents who puts on a 50-minute show for kids between the ages of 1-8 (and adults between the ages of ____ (Insert your age) and 90!). A show that is entertaining without being BORING!! (What a concept!)
