Long Island Music Hall of Fame, in cooperation with WCWP Radio of
Long Island University celebrates the 40th anniversary of:
SIMON AND GARFUNKEL: BOOKENDS

Pete Fornatale and 'Mixed Bag LIVE'

What: The two hour
multimedia program will celebrate Simon and Garfunkel, and the 40th
anniversary of their breakthrough album "Bookends". The
conversation with Pete Fornatale, led by the Long Island Music Hall
of Fame's Tony Traguardo, will include rare, historic footage from
the Hall's archives. Clips of early recordings will shed new light
on Paul and Art's beginnings as a duo called 'Tom and Jerry'.
Mr.
Fornatale will also play segments of interviews he's conducted with
the duo over the years. He will also discuss his recently released
book, titled "Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends". The bookis one of the
latest entries in Rodale Books' 'Rock of Ages' series.
Mr
Fornatale will also discuss the 25th anniversary of his radio
program, "Mixed Bag", which first went on the air December 26th,
1982.
A closing question and answer session promises to make this
a unique and exciting event, and audience members will have the
opportunity to 'meet and greet' Mr. Fornatale following the program.
The audio portion of the event will be simulcast live over WCWP's
streaming Internet radio station.
