Bayshore, NY - The Long Island Music Hall of Fame, in cooperation with the YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the 40th anniversary of SIMON AND GARFUNKEL: BOOKENDS, with Host Legendary DJ Pete Fornatale.

Legendary DJ Pete Fornatale (WNEW, WFUV), and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame's Tony Traguardo, will lead this two hour multimedia program as It celebrates Simon and Garfunkel, and the 40th anniversary of their breakthrough album "Bookends". The conversation will be enhanced by rare, historic footage from the Hall's archives including clips of early recordings that will shed new light on Paul and Art's beginnings as a duo called 'Tom and Jerry'.

Mr. Fornatale will play segments of interviews he's conducted with the duo over the years and discuss his recently released book titled "Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends". The book is one of the latest entries in Rodale Books' 'Rock of Ages' series. Mr. Fornatale will also discuss the 25th anniversary of his radio program, "Mixed Bag", which first debuted December 26th, 1982.

A closing question and answer session promises to make this a unique and exciting event, and audience members will have the opportunity to 'meet and greet' Mr. Fornatale following the program.

The date of this event coincides with the 40th anniversary of the release date of "Bookends", on April 3, 1968.
