Big Daddy Kane

Big Daddy Kane is a Brooklyn MC who has had several gold albums, earning him a Grammy Award in 1991 and a VH1 Hip Hop Honor in 2005. His LP Long Live The Kane (1988) featured the hit songs “Ain’t No Half Steppin’” and “Raw.” His next LP, It’s A Big Daddy Thing (1989), featured “Smooth Operator,” “Warm It Up,” and the Teddy Riley-produced hit “I Get The Job Done,” while Taste Of Chocolate (1990) offered “Hard Being The Kane” and “All Of Me,” as well as a duet with the legendary Barry White. Kane also has recorded on movie soundtracks, including “Rap Summary (Lean on Me)” from the film Lean on Me. and “Nuff Respect” from Juice. Over the years, Kane has collaborated with many artists, including Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Craig G, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Heavy D, Patti LaBelle (on the certified gold single “Feels Like Another One”), and Quincy Jones.
