About Our Music Documentary Film Festival
In 2025, the festival launched its inaugural season with great success, showcasing films about Harry Chapin, Public Enemy, The Beatles, The Zombies, Steppenwolf, Guggenheim Grotto, Ron Delsener, Garland Jeffreys, and more. The event brought together filmmakers, musicians, and audiences for a celebration of music, storytelling, and cultural heritage.
This year’s festival will feature 40+ outstanding feature and short music documentaries, with many screenings accompanied by filmmaker Q&As and live performances, presented in two theaters throughout the weekend at our main LIMEHOF museum location (97 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY).

Our music documentary film festival amplifies LIMEHOF’s mission to celebrate music in all its forms by preserving the past, celebrating the present, and igniting a love for music in future generations.

What You Need To Know
A limited number of passes are available. Pass holders (1-Day, 3-Day, VIP or individual film passes) enjoy priority access to every film on the day(s) covered by their pass and are guaranteed admission as long as they are in the Priority Pass Holder line at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
All-Inclusive VIP Passes include guaranteed admission to all 40+ films, plus exclusive invitations to the Opening Night Party (Friday), Filmmaker Party (Saturday), and Closing Night Awards Ceremony & Party (Sunday).
Festival Pass Admission Disclaimer
Admission to each screening is first-come, first-served, subject to theater capacity. Passholders will be admitted in the order they arrive, and admission cannot be guaranteed once the venue reaches capacity.
A festival pass provides access to screenings throughout the festival, but does not reserve a seat for any particular film.
