Deadlines are Approaching for Applications for the “2021 Educator of Note”
Do you know an educator in a public or private school, college or studio who demonstrates a commitment to music education? Does this person play an active role in the community and have a significant impact on the lives of music students of all backgrounds and abilities? Is he or she exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, skilled, and respected by students, colleagues, and parents, as well as the rest of the community?
The Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) wants to know!
Each year, since 2007, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame has presented the Music Educator of Note Award to individuals who go above and beyond for their students. And with the COVID-19 pandemic, the last two years have been difficult. This did not deter the musical passion of educators and students who met – and even surpassed – the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Indeed, music educators have truly gone above and beyond for their students, and the Educator of Note designation has a particularly strong resonance this year.
