Music Industry Archivist/Sales and Marketing

Barry Fisch has been involved in the music industry on Long Island for over thirty years, first as the music director of his college radio station, WNYT, on the campus of the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury. After numerous positions at a variety of Long Island-based music stores and distributors, he settled in at one of the major label distribution companies, Polygram Records. During his nine-year stint there, he worked in a sales and marketing capacity with all major record store accounts in the New York and Long Island areas as singles sales specialist, account service rep, and artist development rep. The relationships with music store retailers that Fisch developed during his Polygram years still stand today, as he works within the New York and Long Island areas as an independent sales and marketing representative for various indie music distributors. Additionally, Fisch works as a music video archivist and has received numerous credits supplying archival footage for television networks and independent film companies from his own personal archive, which he began in 1978. Fisch is also a published journalist and photographer, currently working with various music-related publications and websites worldwide. He resides in Hicksville.
